VLP welcomes 2017 Pro Bono Scholar

The highly competitive Pro Bono Scholar Program at UB Law was initiated by the NYS Court of Appeals in 2015. Christine took the  February 2017 NYS Bar Exam, and will be providing full time Pro Bono legal assistance to our clients until her law school graduation in May 2017. At VLP  Christine is serving clients who urgently need legal help and cannot afford it, helping to close the “Access to Justice Gap” in our civil legal system. Christine has been a regular volunteer at VLP since her first year of law school, and we are delighted that she selected VLP for her Pro Bono Scholars placement. Christine will be working with every unit at VLP, with a focus on Family Law, to gain a unique insight into the important work we do. Welcome Christine!
