Consumer Bankruptcy
Volunteer Lawyers Project handles consumer bankruptcies (Chapter 7 only) and also advises clients on whether they should file for bankruptcy.
Buffalo ranks as the third-poorest city in the nation. Many of our residents need assistance in getting their financial matters in order. We see many individuals and families who are in need of a fresh start, facing the loss of their homes or garnishment of an already insufficient income. Our bankruptcy volunteer attorneys do an outstanding job representing our clients in bankruptcy proceedings to protect their property and income.
Potential clients should telephone our office to set up an appointment. Initial review of your case will occur over the telephone, and will include financial eligibility screening (VLP assists low-income clients). Clients are not seen without an appointment. Please call (716) 847-0662 ext. 324 and leave your name, number and a brief message containing your legal concern.
