Barclay Damon, LLP Wins 2017 NYSBA President’s Pro Bono Service Award

Robert Heary, Esq., accepts the prestigious 2017 NYSBA President’s Pro Bono Service Award for Mid-Sized Law Firm for Barclay Damon, LLP, Buffalo office.  Mr. Heary is the Buffalo office’s pro bono partner who coordinates the pro bono activities of the 101 Buffalo office attorneys.  We are grateful for the depth and breadth of support from Barclay Damon’s Buffalo office in handling 156 pro bono cases for VLP in 2016. .  Barclay Damon attorneys represent VLP clients in ongoing legal matters involving Immigration, Not For Profit, Wills and Estates, Matrimonial and Family Law, Employment, Torts, and Civil Rights.  They also provide important legal assistance for our limited scope programs, including Attorney of the Morning, Pro Se Assistance Program (PSAP), and Say Yes Legal Clinics. In addition to providing the “boots on the ground” for our clients, Barclay Damon provides much needed, generous financial support for VLP.  We are so proud of the attorneys at the Buffalo office of Barclay Damon LLP.  Their generous work has been instrumental in affording access to justice to low income people in Buffalo facing the loss of essentials of life.
