The staff and volunteers at VLP provide free, civil legal services for low-income individuals in many areas of need:
- Bankruptcy (Chapter 7)
- Divorce
- Estates and Wills
- Family law
- Immigration
- Not-for-profit organizations
- Representation for HIV positive individuals
- Tax
- Tax foreclosure defense
- Tort defense
- Unemployment insurance benefits
Note that we do not provide any assistance in criminal matters.
Financially eligible criminal defendants may request an attorney at their first court date.

The office does not accept walk-ins, please call us for an appointment. Please note that VLP staff will collect household income information in order to assess income eligibility for our services.
