The Federal Court Pro Se Assistance Program
The Federal Court Pro Se Assistance Program allows those who are representing themselves in a Federal Court matter and are financially eligible to speak with a volunteer attorney about their case. The Pro Se Assistance Program allows clients to sit down with an attorney and receive advice; please note that it does not afford clients with representation.
Some of the services provided may include:
- Clarifying legal issues
- Advising whether to commence a lawsuit
- How to respond to being sued
- Explaining pro se forms to clients
- Outlining procedural requirements
Federal Court Pro Se Assistance Program Operating Hours:
In-person Wednesdays between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at 2 Niagara Square, Buffalo, NY located within the public entrance to the Clerk’s Office on the Second Floor.
